Property Description
Friendly owners, Richard and Sarah built a separate Guest Room in their charming garden in 2000. It is in keeping with the style of the main house which is a Colonial Villa built in 1904. The Garden Room looks out onto Sarah's beautifully maintained award winning garden. It has its own bathroom, gorgeous pure cotton bedlinen and tea, coffee and organic breakfasts are available in the room along with a radio and TV. A 30 minute walk down the hill to the CBD or a 10 min bus ride. It is a 5 minute walk to enter the Wellington Town Belt with fabulous views over the City. A family home with 3 older children coming and going and 1 delightful puginese called Maggie.

"We had not a warm welcome. The room was beautiful and clean, but the curtains didn't cover well and at night you can so the people in the room from the outside, even in the bathroom. The breakfast was nothing special, food was in the bedroom and you may do a self service."
"We stayed here for one night while visiting our daughter who lived close by. We really enjoyed staying here, the room was beautiful, clean and tidy. The dogs and cat were very friendly. We did find the blinds didn't offer the privacy we would have liked, but we would definitely recommend this place to stay for others and we would stay here again ourselves!"
"This is a wonderful retreat so close to the city center. The garden is charming and whimsical, the guest house spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished. Sarah and her family were friendly and considerate hosts. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!"
"We spent Christmas in the garden room as our son had a houseful of family. As we left for the airport, he commented that he and Lisa should have booked in there themselves! The place is perfect. The supplies left were so much more than adequate. The furniture was so beautiful, but not really relevant for a review. I did read comments before we arrived, but you know, those blinds are fantastic! If the neighbours really want to see a 68 year old woman shower, good on them!!! Thank you so much. We will recommend you to our friends."
