"James and Helen were very welcoming and the view from the B&B is stunning! We had evening dinners at the B&B too - they were outstanding. All in all it was a most enjoyable stay."

"Our stay in Wellington was a last minute decision, so reservations had not been made in advance. James picked us up at the railroad station and whisked us up the hill so we could see his home and decide if we wanted to stay there the next night. The next day he met us at our car rental place so we could leave the car as we were taking the Ferry to Pincton the next morning. Their home, located high on a hill above Wellington, has amazing views! Our room was roomy and comfy, as was our private bath. We were greeted in the morning with a delicious breakfast. James went above and beyond again by taxiing us to town, and then back to the Ferry in the morning! All in all, a great B & B and warm, wonderful hosts!"

"A little tough to get to - up and around some narrow streets. But it was well worth it for the hospitality, comfort, views and overall excellence. We stayed two night. Our host James drove us into town the first evening and dropped us off near the restaurants, with the business card of a reliable cab company to get us back for about $20.00 NZ. The breakfasts were very nice, and we were able to use his computer to check our e-mail etc. If you are driving yourself, you will need a good GPS and a phone to make sure where you are at the end; but great hospitality makes up for that problem. We enjoyed a nice chat with James and Helen after we returned from dinner."

"A lovely B&B."

"This place is one of the great undiscovered bargains of world tourism. Spectacular location at the top of a mountain but only a few kilometres from the centre of Wellington, great homecooked meals. Even lifts into town! Very reasonable prices. Hosts couldn't be more friendly, it is like staying with your aunty. I am going back. ps Ask for the Bollywood video."
