Property Description
Convenience of a central location but in a quiet, leafy residential setting. Walking distance to the vibrant waterfront and city centre. And closer still, are restaurants, theatres, a supermarket, TePapa museum, Oriental Bay and Mt Victoria greenbelt. Close to public transport and a short drive to ferry terminal and airport.
Accommodation consists of two well-appointed, private, self-contained suites in a character villa. The larger is a one-bedroom apartment with its own garden patio and the smaller is a cosy studio set-up. Each suite has city views, its own entrance and is equipped with a queen bed, ensuite with bath, kitchenette, lounge and dining area, cable TV with SKY, telephone and complimentary WiFi. Use of shared guest laundry facility and off-street parking for one car included in tariff. Maximum of 2 adults sharing a queen sized bed per suite. Minimum 2 night stay required.

"During our tour of New Zealand we stayed for 2 nights in the Garden Suite of this delightful Bed and Breakfast. Zarli was extremely helpful and hospitable. Excellent information brochure. The Suite is beautifully decorated, thoughtfully laid out, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The private outdoor sitting area with gorgeous planting was a delight. We loved the idea of having the breakfast delivered the night before, as it gave us total flexibility. It was generous and delicious. Combine all this with the excellent location - city centre and waterfront in walking distance and plenty of eateries near by - makes for an excellent accommodation. Would highly recommend."
"This was so much better than staying in a bland hotel. Austinvilla is in a very convenient location, full of character and period houses, and just a few minutes walk from restaurants and the city centre. The building and garden are very pretty and the accommodation was luxurious - beautiful furnishings and, as the other reviewer said, our every need was anticipated. Would thoroughly recommend."
"Wow. How marvellous to have one's every need anticipated, even an electric blanket, a power point extension with USB sockets and a small, well equipped kitchen unit. The complete privacy and comfort was much appreciated. The idea of putting the excellent Continental breakfast in the room the night before meant there was no pressure to be up at a certain time. The self contained apartment also had a lovely little enclosed garden. It was all wonderful. It was close to town so the walk down the steep hill was fine. Coming back was a bit more strenuous, though. We loved the accommodation and helpfulness of Karli. We would certainly come here again."

"It would be difficult to imagine a more comfortable and convenient base for a short stay in Wellington than Austin B@B. The beautifully decorated and well appointed Garden apartment provides everything a couple could want to make their stay in New Zealand's capital a relaxing and memorable experience. Zarli's pleasant personality and warm welcome provides the icing on the cake. He is an excellent and knowledgeable host who manages to provide a B@B service in a highly efficient but unobtrusive way that made us immediately feel at home. We were sorry to leave and will certainly try to stay at Austin B@B again should our travels bring us back to Wellington in the future."
