Property Description

You will have half of the top floor of our large Thorndon Villa for your personal use (not shared). Your own large bedroom, a separate lounge with sofa (converts to double sofa bed as an option for additional guest), smart TV and work desk, and your own bathroom with bath and shower.
Your suite has recently been tastefully decorated in keeping with the style of the villa.
We will give you a unique code for our digital door lock for your use during your stay. You enter through a shared hallway, but once upstairs the space is your own (all rooms lockable).
My wife and I live in the other half of the house, so are generally close by if you need us. We will always aim to greet you on arrival if at all possible, but if not, we will provide clear instructions for you. There is a locked door between your half of the top floor and where we live, so you do not need to interact with us if you do not want to, even when you come and go you will be unlikely to see us as we usually come and go through a separate entrance / garage.
There is 120 minute free street parking during the day, but you can park for free on the street from 4pm to 10am the next day. Council coupon parking operates during the day and we can provide coupons for $12 per day that will enable you to park all day close to our property (rarely needed).
There is a large internal landing joining the main bedroom, the lounge/study, and the bathroom that you will have sole use of as well. A table is set up on the landing where we can set up a continental breakfast if you would like us to provide this ( $10 per person per night - usually consists of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, toast). Crockery, cutlery and glasses are nearby including complementary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There is also a fridge, jug, and toaster and microwave for your use. The whole area you will have for your sole use measures approximately 11 x 6 meters (66 sqm).

Location Information

Thorndon is New Zealand' s oldest suburb. We are walking distance from the Thorndon village, the city, the Parliamentary precinct, the Sky Stadium and the Railway Station. The ferry terminal is a 5 minute Uber ride away. Bus stops are close by. Given we are close by the city, an Uber or Ola trip into the city is low cost. There are often electric scooters close by as an other option to get around.
