"We stayed for one night on our way upto Christchurch, we were made to feel very welcome, we had a peaceful nights sleep and a lovely breakfast."
"Clean. Very gracious and guest-friendly host and hostess. Great breakfast. Great beds. Quiet. Good location. Walking distance to restaurants and downtown. Lovely garden with fruit trees -- we were offered fresh fruit from their small, in-town orchard. Margaret even cooked her lovely fruit for breakfast! Though we could walk to town, it was very quiet even with the windows open at night. Large and charming 1920's house. The twin room upstairs where we stayed was spacious and comfortable. Margaret and Bob were helpful with local activities and sites/sights. We would book here again in a minute. don't hesitate -- book it!"
"Wonderful reception most welcome at the end of a long day's drive. Terrific hosts made me feel like one of the family. Black currants for breakfast. Off-street parking. Safe environment for single travellers. I will return to stay with my friends."
"I think I was so lucky choosing this homestay by pure chance! My aunt and I felt welcome and at home in this beautiful, comfortable old house with a lovely garden; the food, the amenities, and the conversations could not have been bettered! I won't forget sitting on the porch in the super-comfy chairs reading and enjoying the garden, while my aunt was resting, with my feet in the sun and my head in the shade. If I need to stay in Timaru again, I'll know where to come!"
"Extremely hospitable, welcomed with cup of tea and cake. After we had been out in the evening we were welcomed back with tea biscuits and conversation. Variety of choice for breakfast."
"I stayed with the Jones for a week and it was one of the very best homestay experiences. Both hosts are friendly and knowledgeable about the region and what it has to offer. The room in their gracious home was very comfortable and the home-cooked breakfast generous and delicious. Coming back at any hour, I was welcomed with a cup of tea and home-baking - a special place."
"Very friendly and interesting hosts, clean and comfortable ensuite room in a quiet location just a few minutes walk from good restaurants. Great tennis court."
