Welcome to Catlins Retreat accommodation in Owaka, your home away from home in the heart of Owaka village and the Catlins.
Catlins Retreat provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation and is ideally situated for exploring the Catlins. You are centrally locaated for visitng the Catlins Heritage Trail and Southern Scenic route, the incredible Catlins coastline including fur seal and sea lion colonies and the walks of the Catlins, Parukanui Fall, Catlins River walk and Cathedral Caves.
This lovely character accommodation has wonderful large rooms, tastefully decorated with high ceilings and native timber floors. It has been extensively renovated, has four bedrooms (2 with ensuites) and oozes character and charm.
The Yunca fire with heat ducts to the bedrooms guarantees you will be warm and cosy during your stay.
Cooked breakfast by arrangement.
You'll receive a warm welcome from your host Robbie who is happy to provide you with local information and guidance on what to do and see in this unique and very special part of New Zealand.

"Robbie was a great, relaxed, warm host who could not have done more to help. The room was nicely decorated, spacious clean and comfortable, the en suite clean and the shower powerful. The breakfast was continental help yourself. We had been travelling on unsealed roads and Robbie washed our car for us and did our washing at no extra charge. Good value for money recommeneded"
