"My sister and I spent two nights at Hazel House and were more than reluctant to leave. It is gorgeous and we were transported into another world of peace, comfort, delicious food and superb hospitality. The attention to small things such as quality shampoo and conditioner was indicative of the overall feel that we were treasured guests. Hosts Brent and Sandy Ward were the icing on the cake. I will be back and will definitely recomment Hazel House to my friends. Pam Corkery, Auckland."
"We spent a wonderful two nights with Sandy and Brent in February 2010. The accommodation is beaurtiful, more like a five star hotel, with excellent food and exceptional hosts who do everything to meet your needs. We highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone visiting Dunedin."
"We were lucky enough to spend two nights with Sandy & Brent, after a poor start to our holiday( a mix up with the hire car company) we arrived later than expected and were greeted by Brent & Sandy on the veranda with a cup of tea and cake whilst we bent their ear on our poor start.Brent advised us on where to eat as by the time we had freshened up it was getting a bit late, on return we were met and invited to have a drink with Brent & Sandy by this time we were really chilled out and ready for sleep. After a great nights sleep we woke to a wonderful breakfast and short conversation then off to explore Dunedin and the Otago peninsula on return Brent told us of a few nice places to eat at nearby St Claire by this time it had started to rain so Brent & Sandy got the car out and took us to St Claire, after our meal the weather was fine so we had a nice walk back. To conclude this long and possibly boring story I would just like to say what a wonderful stay and thanks to our hosts this helped to make our holiday in New Zealand a fantastic experience"

"We have had a most enjoyable stay for the week we stayed. The hosts pampered us. They treated us like family. Warm house lovely comfortable beds. We would recommend this as a place to stay in Dunedin for all."
