Blueskin Bay is home to the world-famous Orokonui Ecosanctuary with New Zealand's tallest tree. Enjoy a bracing stroll on Doctors Point or Warrington beaches, visit the local art gallery and enjoy a meal at the Blueskin Nurseries cafe. There is plenty to do and see here, and it is only a short drive to Dunedin's many other attractions - the Taieri Gorge Railway, Olveston (a Lonely Planet Top Choice), Larnach Castle and the albatross colony.

"I wanted to treat my husband and myself to a quiet night away from the hustle and bustke of every day with 2 young kids - we arrived to a lovely warm welcome with the log fire lit to warm the Barn. The facilities were ideal and I was able to cook hubby a lovely meal which we enjoyed at our own pace in the comfort and privacy of the Barn- overall a lovely weekend getaway that felt like being a world away but in reality was so convenient. Thanks so much for the lovely mini-break!"
"Hard to believe this secluded piece of paradise is only a 20-minute drive across the hills from Dunedin. All cosy when I arrived with the log burner glowing, gorgeous property overlooking Blueskin Bay with pale-blue fresh eggs provided for breakfast by Robert's own chickens and a warm welcome from his two friendly dogs. Loved the design of the corrugated-iron barn, too. Heaps to do and see around this area so a long weekend is recommended!"
"My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway for the weekend and that's what we got. Wonderful friendly acommadating host, peaceful surroundings, beautiful bird calling and just plan relaxing wish we could of stayed longer. Will definitely be back Robert going to make this a annual event. 10/10 thank you so much just what we both needed."
"My wife and I and infant had a great time staying four nights in the "Barn" at Robert's farm. Robert was a friendly and accommodating host - no wonder given how secluded and peaceful his spot is up above Blueskin Bay. It was lovely being amongst nature bush and birds, we had not seen so many Tui so close. The lad enjoyed being introduced for the first time to the sheep, goat, chickens and horses along with Robert's dogs. The Barn was spacious and homely and nothing beats a log burner. It is a very reasonable rate. There are also so many interesting spots to explore on the nearby coast and hills, and around Dunedin. 10/10. Thanks from Mark and Hannah and the boy."
