Property Description
Welcome ... Our homestead is within walking distance to the beautiful Purakaunui Falls.
Sheep, cattle and deer are farmed at "Greenwood" on land from the Purakaunui Falls to Purakaunui Bay.
Alan who has a wealth of local history and farming knowledge enjoys taking guests around the farm and to our 200 metre cliffs that overlook Purakaunui Bay where part of the Narnia movie "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" was filmed.
We enjoy conversation and dining with our guests in the evenings.
Our home offers warm, very comfortable accommodation. All guest bedrooms have an ensuite or a private bathroom. Many rooms open out to our large garden where there are several sitting areas. A piano, guitar, keyboard and a library of books for you to enjoy.

"24-26/01/09 We had a warm & friendly welcome from Helen-May & Alan. Having dinner with them was a very nice touch and a pleasant change from eating out. We enjoyed alan's trip around the farm and getting up close to the yellow eyed penguins was one of the highlights of our trip."
