Our new home has all the modern conveniences (heat pumps, double glaziing). It also has the most amazing panoramic views of Dunedin and the Otago Harbour, right out to the heads. We are conveniently located not far off the Highcliff road that runs down the Otago Peninsula to Larnach Castle and the Albatross centre. Sue and I have recently retired from operating a motel in the city. We enjoy advising guest on the many opportunities on offer. Our house is at the end of the top section of the private road.

"This place is absolutely amazing and so are the two people you'll meet. Dick and Sue are wonderful people, with great big hearts, and truly make you feel welcome. We arrived later in the evening. Dick and Sue greeted us and even found a place for us to eat, as we didn't have our lay of the land yet. Dick is full of history tidbits that he is more than happy to share. He would be a great tour guide to have in Dunedin any day of the week. The views from the house are spectacular and you're so close to everything. What a great place to stay. Our only wish, is that we'd been able to stay in Dunedin and at this B n B longer. We are already planning to come back to NZ for another visit. Thanks for all your help and making us feel special Dick and Sue. All the best to you."
"It would be hard to beat this place for friendliness, beauty, comfort and cleanliness.. It is close to the city and on the way to all the things you can do and see on the peninsula."
"What fabulous hospitality in the most incredible setting!!! Sue and Dick are tremendous hosts and their home is incredible. Their previous experience in the tourism business coupled with their extensive history of world travelling make them the perfect advisors on your visit to Otago and Dunedin, in fact all of New Zealand for that matter. You can take their excellent breakfasts for granted, but don't overlook Dick's knowledge of world history, geography and society in addition to his insights gleaned from guiding Dunedin guests in his hobby as a regional tour guide. A longer stay is recommended for you to get full advantage of their knowledge of the area!!"
"One night was too short a time to fully enjoy the wonderful place. The apartment is simply great in space, cleanliness, asthonishing views day and night and all possible needs you might have are foreseen by Dick and Sue. I remember the smell of the home made muesli Sue prepared for breakfast. After a few minutes being there, we already felt like home and warm welcomed as if we were family. I hope we can get back to Dunedin to these lovely place and people."
"What a very special place run by very special people - Sue and Dick. The views from this property are stunning and the comfort is 5 star. No stone was left unturned in an effort to make our Rugby World Cup visit to Dunedin special. We were lucky enough to have the two bedroom suite - which is an entire floor of the house. Sue and Dick have thought of everything - from fluffy white dressing gowns to various varieties of tea and biscuits - we could not fault the standards and would rate it as excellent value for money and a real home away from home. There is a private external entrance to this floor and the peace and tranquility is tangible. Every morning we awoke to amazing views and the smell of Dick's home made bread wafting down the stairs. Sue's hadn't been idle either and produced toasted muesli and a fab fruit salad. The service is warm, friendly and helpful and Sue and Dick's knowledge of New Zealand is extensive and willingly shared. We felt so at home we found it difficult to leave and departed with big hugs. We hope we will be back but Ireland to NZ is sadlly such a long way."
"With breathtaking views of Dunedin from everywhere in the house, we were thrilled to stay with Dick and Sue. The very roomy suite gave us lots of room to spread out after cramped days in the car. Dick's homemade bread was a reason to get up in the morning, accompanied by Sue's fresh fruit salad. An encyclopedic knowledge of the area, a history lesson on the background of Larnach Castle and a wonderous collection of topics of conversation all contributed to our enjoyment. We were reluctant to leave! Ron and Cathi"
"What a wonderful retreat – “we should have stayed longer!” that is the main statement I can do after our stay. This B&B is with a 5 minutes drive outside of Dunedin but therefore has very rewarding views over Dunedin City, with its beautiful harbour and coastline of Otago peninsula. This newly build accommodation provides everything you want in a very modern and tasteful style and being very comfortable, too. The hosts, Sue and Dick gave us a very warm welcome with freshly baked cheese muffins – which were truly the best! – and with coffee and tea. Sue and Dick know the area extremely well and are happy to share their knowledge of nature, NZ and tourism. They were not shy in helping us with restaurant recommendations as well as table reservations during bank holiday season, which was really helpful. We also should mention the lovely “Super Size” continental breakfast in the morning with freshly baked bread and fresh fruit salad. Thanks so much for having us, we truly will recommend you 100%. We enjoyed our stay with you very much! Silke &Wayne (Frankfurt)"
"What a beautiful home with everything you could want and of such quality. We were made welcome from the outset and soon were able to tap into the vast experience of Sue & Dick's many years as motel owners. The views from all parts of this wonderful new build are just beyond belief and with your own entrance and deck areas as well as large bedroom - beautiful bathroom and wonderful lounge all to ourselves we couldn't fail to enjoy our stay here. Dick joined us for golf and on our last evening there Dick & Sue joined us for a meal. Thank you for opening your home to us - we would recommend you to everyone."
"The breathtaking views of Dunedin and Otago Harbour from this modern home, combined with the personal care of Sue and Dick made our stay at their home very special and exceptional. Thanks"
