Property Description
Bellrock Lodge is on the hill overlooking the bay and the lovely village of Russell. From your spacious en-suite room and private patio you can see the activity of the village and watch boats of every discription passing by. Bellrock is only a 5 minute stroll to the passenger ferry and the village with it's cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. We have off street parking for our guests, one per room.
Each room has its own private entrance. There are French doors leading out of your room onto your private patio where you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks while watching the most spectacular sunsets. The rooms have Freeview TV, DVD player, Radio/CD/ipod, air con, fully equiped kitchenette, two leather recliners, a table and two chairs, with another table and chairs on the patio. Spacious bathrooms consist of shower, toilet, bidet, two hand basins, heated towel rail and heater.
For the exclusive us of our guets we have on the 1st floor a lounge/dining room and bar. Here the guests have the use of TV, DVD and sound system. The bar works on an honesty basis. On the adjoining patio you have a gas barbeque, table and chairs.
Bellrock is currently ranked #6 in NZ , based on guest reviews on Tripadvisor. Also "Top Hotel" on the North Island, by Trivago. Booking.com 9.9 out of 10.
Sharing our home are the cats Kevin and Tomcat with Shaka a black labrador.
Your hosts Peter and Lorraine Blignaut came to NZ in 2008 from South Africa.

"Lorraine & Peter were excellent hosts and the accommodation at Bellrock Lodge is truly first-class, spotlessly clean with all the facilities one could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble for them, once Lorraine found out I had a special dietary need, by the following morning she had a range of gluten-free products for my breakfast. Each of the 4 rooms enjoys a marvellous view over Russell, we really cannot be too complimentary about our stay Bellrock Lodge. Our one complaint? "My husband and I recently stayed at the Bellrock for a weekend get-a-way. The property is set on a hill with great views of Russell and still well within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The room was very tastefully decorated with exceptional cleanliness and every need catered for. We also had our own private balcony and the great thing is you can have your privacy and also enjoy Peter and Lorraines great hospitality. We very much enjoyed meeting them for pre-dinner drinks, nibbles and converstation in the guest lounge/dining room. We highly recommend the breakfast. It was beautifully layed out with lovely homemade jams, great choices of cereals,yoghurt, fresh fruit and juices, followed by a choice of cooked breakfast. Amazing. Great accommodation food and hospitality!!!"
