"Anne welcomed us into her delightful home and helped us enjoy a wonderful visit to this area. The breakfast was just as we like it with home made jams and yoghurt. It was a pleasure to spend time in the lovely historic house enjoying the harbour view and Anne has many fascinating stories to tell. Thanks due to her as well for forwarding the shirt we left behind by accident."
"The Te Maunga Historic House was an excellent place to stay. For us, who like to walk up and down hills, the location was wonderful. The hostess is interesting and interested. Thank you."
"Possibly the most wonderful B&B in the Nelson area, the home is wonderful & the host was even better."
"A wonderful location, with fantastic views. Great hospitality. Will recommend it to other visitors to Nelson."
"We had a wonderful 3 nights here in March. The home is just beautiful, and once one has mastered the road and driveway, it is well worth it. Annie was the perfect B&B host, welcoming without being pushy, turning out luscious breakfasts, and happily providing glasses for our pre-dinner drinks. We felt privileged to stay in this wonderful piece of NZ history. Only negative comment would be about the pillows - a bit too thin for us!"
"One of the highlights of our stay in NZ. We loved our stay at Te Maunga. We will certainly be returning to share more time with Anne in her beautiful home. How lovely to spend time in the observatory and enjoy a glass of NZ wine in the sunny garden while looking out on the glorious view of Nelson. What a special time."
"What a beautiful home (and indeed it felt like home) and setting! The hospitality was as outstanding as the views. I quite enjoyed the wholesome healthy breakfasts, engaging and stimulating conversations, and the beautiful flowered gardens and terrace."
"Being able to stay in such a historic homestead and to recieve the wonderful service was a privilage and a rare oppurtunity. Wonderful memories from our stay in Nelson."

"Annie is a gem, so is her house. Can only be highly recommended."
"Fantastic place and such an interesting hostess, we loved our stay."
"The home! The views! The breakfast! All perfect but the real jewell is meeting and visiting with Anne. What an interesting, kind, and helpful person. We enjoyed our stay tremendously."
"With my wife, we have very much enjoyed our stay at Te Mauga few weeks ago. This Historic house is a pure jewel and offers bedrooms with fantastic views on the city of Nelson and the hills. But all of this was nothing compared to the kindness and incredible sense of hospitality of our hostess."
"This accommodation was reserved for us by Sheryl of AA in Nelson. She was very helpful in finding the B&B for us. Anne of Te Maunga made our stay most pleasant. She is well travelled, knowledgable of NZ and is is enlightning to share with her. The view is exceptional. Super breakfast!!"
"It made my brief stay in NZ memorable - stunning views, beautiful house, waking up to Tui song in the mornings, luscious breakfasts, and a thoughtful (and fascinating) host. A real treat and excellent value."
"Beautiful house, lovely views, wonderful location, very welcoming and friendly hostess."
"Fabulous views, great breakfast & wonderful host!!"
"Absolutely fantastic, great atmosphere, very nice home - so much to look at - so tasteful, friendly host, good recommendation for food."
"Anne is a warm person, extremely helpful and friendly. The place is gorgeous. With stunning views. Don't forget to eat out a "Broccol" - Wow."
"Bathrobes for wakl to bathroom would be useful. Nice style & feel - very welcoming. Steep entrance is a big problem for anyone with limited mobility, but site gives great views."
"Te Maunga in Nelson, hosted by world traveler and naturalist Anne Kolless, this world class B&B offers a clean, comfortable, newly renovated private home on top of a hill. The view of the sea is spectacular, the gardens are lovingly nurtured, and Anne's cooking is fabulous!"
"This is a very belated thank you to you for welcoming us at your home back in February. We did enjoy our stay with you and it was good to have the chance to explore Nelson. The rest of our trip has been enjoyable, adventurous, challenging (The Milford Track!) but we have survived and fly back to the UK on Wednesday brimmed full with good memories – and around 2,500 photos! Do come and see us if you are in the UK. Just give us a ring."
