"An absolutely marvelous experience, and we have stayed in many New Zealand homestays. Wonderfully helpful and congenial hosts, beautiful ensuite accommodation, excellent dinner as well as breakfasts, and advice tailored to our interests, with a visit to the home of a local artist, accompanied by our hostess. Far too short a visit. We absolutely will go again and will recommend the Devonshires highly to anyone going "over Takaka Hill" to the Golden Bay area."

"Never having stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before my sister,my brother and myself were absolutely overwhelmed by the hospitality of Susan and Brian. We hope to stay with them in the summer again. They are lovely hosts and make you feel like one of the family, even the cats made it feel like home. Alovely place to stay."

"The three day stay with the Devonshires was indeed "absolutely perfect". Both susan and Brian are warm, gracious and hospitable hosts. The accommodation was perfect, meals superb and I was made to feel immediately and authentically "at home". Truly Devonshires are exceptional B&B hosts."
