"We stayed two nights here with Glen and really enjoyed her company. Beautiful garden and views. Delicious breakfast too. Her local knowledge helped us make the most of our stay."

Joan Fynes, 09/03/2018

"Doone Cottage is set in a delightful country garden and Glen is a wonderful host, warm and lovely great breakfast and even better hospitality. Dinner if its available is a must. This is a lovely place to stay, the house and rooms are charming and full of character it is a great location to base yourself to explore the region. We enjoyed our stay so much we came back a few years in a row. (and my husband is a mad trout fisherman and the Motueka River has to be one of the best in the world so they tell me!)"

Pauline Evill, 19/01/2014

"Doone Cottage Homestay has the most beautiful views and gardens, especially from the Mountain Chalet! Glen made us a home-cooked "Thanksgiving" dinner that was absolutely delicious. Glen and Stan were very friendly and helpful, with welcome sight-seeing suggestions. We hope to return some day to New Zealand, and will definitely try to stay at Doone Cottage again!"
