Property Description

Enjoy space and privacy in our heritage villa, only 10 minutes riverside walk from Nelson's city centre. The whole front half of the house is a dedicated guest suite. Your private entrance is off the front verandah where there is an outdoor setting for relaxing on those lovely sunny afternoons Nelson is famous for. Enter into the sunroom with cane setting (perfect for a leisurely breakfast or afternoon tea). The sunroom leads into a light and spacious lounge with plenty of room to spread out, where there is also a single bed if required. The television has satelite TV with movie and sports channels. The self-service drinks cabinet comes equipped with fridge, microwave, hot water jug, toaster etc. We keep your supplies of tea, coffee, milk, juice and the fruit bowl topped up on a daily basis. The adjoining master bedroom has a Queen bedroom suite in native Rimu with an ensuite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. We have central heating and airconditioning for all year round comfort. Wireless internet and off-street parking is also available. We have two daughters who are occasionally home from University. Our small friendly dog Mia lives in our half of the house so you can decide whether you want to meet her or not. Our location is close to many lovely walking and hiking tracks as well as the Brook Mountainbike trails and the Waimarama Wildlife Sanctuary. Please enquire about our longer stay rates and self-catering options. Plunger coffee is included in the tariff but for those coffee connoisseurs like us, we will make espresso coffees to order at a very reasonable price.

"We agree with past comments that Carolyn & Richard are excellent and friendly hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for Carolyn. She puts on an amazing breakfast and serves it in your rooms for you to enjoy in private. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the 15 min Willow Walk into the CBD and enjoyed the local restaurants. We have recommended this B&B to our friends who are going to Nelson. Thanks again Carolyn & Richard, we will return!"

"Carolyn and Richard provide a delightful B&B a very short drive or walk to Nelson's CBD, in a restful, quiet and tranquil neighbourhood. They are natural and charming hosts, down-to-earth and highly attuned towards anticipating the needs of their guests. Their accomodation is warm and welcoming, with lovely attention to detail and a beautifully equipped kitchinette. The beds are perfectly comfortable, and the shower lovely and hot with great pressure. The breakfast is simply wonderful, and can be enjoyed on the front sun deck or outdoors. Highly recommended."

"Stayed for 3 nights for a nearby cycling event. The Codgers MTB area is just up the road - super convenient. Wonderful place all round. Friendly accomodating hosts, lovely breakfasts, comfortable, clean and great value. Kids had a great time playing with Mia the dog in the lovely back yard. Would definitely stay again!"

"Would reccomend to anyone. They did more than we expected! We received the warmest welcome (picked up from airport). Wonderful location and rooms, great breakfasts, fresh fruit daily. They respected our privacy yet were interested in helping out with any queries about the area. Great value for money."
