Property Description

Biddy and Brin would like to welcome you to their beautiful, architecturally designed waterfront home. Upon arrival you will also be warmly welcomed by Maggie and Carlos our miniature long-haired dachshunds! A complimentary bottle of Hawke's Bay wine awaits you in your private lounge - a good start to your Hawke's Bay experience.

We are located at Bay View, just 3 kms north of the airport and only 8 kms from Napier CBD. We boast beautiful seaviews eastward towards Mahia, Napier Port and Bluff Hill. Westward the view is rural towards the Kaweka ranges.

Enjoy a special sea front continental breakfast with a chance to taste the local fresh fruit that Hawke's Bay is famous for. Experience the magic of the sun rising out of the Pacific Ocean from your waterfront room, and on that special night the full moon rising over the horizon.

We have an outdoor spa pool where you can enjoy panoramic sea views whilst basking in the warm water.

Take advantage of our local winery (8 minute walk) or our local Snapper Park cafe (also an 8 minute walk). As we are on a national walk/cycle way you may like to enjoy a walk or cycle ride. We have a variety of cycles available, including a tandem. Alternatively, take a quiet walk along the beach soaking up the Hawke's Bay sunshine.

Whether you are visiting Napier for our famous Art Deco celebrations or the Mission concerts or just taking time out in one of the sunniest places in New Zealand, we will endeavor to make your stay an enjoyable one.

"What a relaxing and fun weekend! Brin and Biddy were the best hosts! So hospitable and friendly! They have a great knowledge of the local area and were able to point us in the right direction of where to go and where to eat. All recommendations were amazing! Accommodation was excellent! We sat around in the hot spa and open fire overlooking the beach in the evenings which was great on a cold winter evening. Thank you Biddy and Brin for the opportunity to recharge while also seeing a beautiful part of the country. Joanne and Stephen Andrews"

"My wife and I stayed with Richard and Sue at the end of January. The accommodation was excellent. We can recommend it without qualification. The hosts were genial and engaging. The physical location was good facing Hawke's Bay and the beach. They were interested in sharing information about themselves which is one of the reasons why we try to stay in B&Bs whenever we can. They had good information about the local area and were helpful in recommending a place to eat along with points of interest. We'd go back again without question."

"Helle from Germany, I stayed there in October 2014. It was a very unique experience from the very first email until my arrival at Absolute Beachfront. Trank you very much for your great Kiwi hospitality. Haring breakfast outside with this amazing view is so great."

"It was a fantastic stay at Sue´s and Richard´s bnb. Everything was really perfect from the very first moment of our arrival. The room with a wonderful view, the deck where we had a great breakfast, the bathroom with every equipment you could think of, the garden at absolute beach front. This bnb is very near to Napier and the interesting places of the region. Coming home there you could relax listening to the voices of the birds and the soft sounds of the sea. Sue and Richard are perfect hosts. We had a lot of interesting talks about all subjects, esp. the arts, as Sue is a great professional artist. We even went out with our hosts and had a very nice evening. Unfortunately, this bnb is so far away from Germany. The rating of the whole place is 10 plus so many stars."

"Being at the water's edge was great, especially as there was a patio directly outside our room. There was also a lovely lounge in which to relax and look at the ocean. Sue and Richard were helpful and friendly and gave us lots of information about where to go and what to do in Napier. The Continental breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. They did all they could to make our stay memorable. We would certainly go back again. Thanks so much"

"I give this place a 10+, Sue and Richard were great hosts and the property was fabulous!!! Beautiful view and right on the beach. I would definitely go back and stay again and again. I would love to stay in contact with Sue forever. We were just there in March and the weather was great, just wish we could have stayed long. Mike and Terry Morrow Larkspur, Colorado USA"

"A great place to stay for art and ocean lovers! Sue and Richard went to all lengths to make their home, our home while we were visiting. And what a beautiful home theirs is..! The art on the wall is unbelievable so you will not only enjoy their warm hospitality, direct access to the beach but a spectacular insight to the New Zealand art scene as well. Excellent advice from our lovely hosts on doing what we wanted to achieve for our holiday, which was a combined relaxation break and experiencing Napier, the Art Deco capital of the world, and Hawkes Bay as a wine region. We visited local restaurants, did the wine trail, went up Te Mata peak, and visited many art galleries including Richard's own gallery. Exceptional holiday and yes we will definitely stay here again and again. The only one regret is the we couldn't squeeze this little paradise into our suitcase. Warm regards, Vera"
