"We stayed here in October 2010 and found the B&B excellent. Gerard was an excellent host and the accommodation was clean and well set out. Gerard excelled himself with the breakfast. I have never seen such wonderful choices excellently cooked breakfast just as we wanted it. There was a lovely lounge to relax in and all manner of drinks hot and cold to enjoy and yummy biscuits to taste. The B&B was in a lovely location right on the beach front and close to all the amenities in Napier. We walked into the town and enjoyed the quaintness of the art deco style. A very enjoyable experience with a friendly host. I would recommend it without reserve."

"I wanted you to know of a much-appreciated gesture from my trip to New Zealand. When staying at Mon Logis in Napier, I mistakenly failed to check out on the proper morning. Instead, Mary and I went touring around and arrived back at our Boutique Hotel at around 5pm to be met by Gerard Averous, owner/host. Needless to say I was very embarrassed at the situation. Gerard was a fantastic host who immediately offered to have us stay that night and leave the next morning after breakfast. He even called ahead to our hotel in Taupo and cancelled our reservation for that night. When we left the next day, Gerard absolutely refused any payment for the extra night/breakfast!! I want you to know of Gerard's generosity and also to highly, highly recommend Mon Logis to any traveler visiting the Napier area. To Gerard - merci beaucoup for your hospitality and kindnesses."
