Property Description
Nestled in to the cliff overlooking beautiful Lyttelton Harbour, Diamond Harbour Lodge is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Just 35 minutes drive from Christchurch and 8 minute ferry ride to Lyttelton, it is an easy escape from the city, or a lovely base to explore Banks Peninsula from and visit the city.
Entry to the lodge is at street level which is the top floor.This is the bed and breakfast area, with one queen room, one king/twin, and a twin room and a shared lounge, each with double doors to its own balcony. Double glazing, electric heating (underfloor in en suites) and all day sun make the rooms warm and cosy all year round. We live on the ground floor with a lively Jack Russell called Bertie.Our interests include boating, tennis, lawn bowls and walking.

Diamond Harbour offers wonderful walks including the cliff track and Mt Herbert. Beautiful Orton Bradley Park is just 5 minutes drive away with walks, golf and tennis. Catch the ferry and the bus to the Gondola base, dine in Lyttelton or just enjoy the peace. In summer, swim in Chruch Bay, Paradise Beach, or Diamond Harbour. Diamond Harbour has two licensed cafes.
