"My partner Nadia and I spent three memorable days at Paul and Michelle's Tauhara View B&B at the end of January. We enjoyed our stay immensely, from the warm welcome when we arrived, to stimulating discussions at breakfast and excellent recommendations regarding where to eat and what to do. Tauhara View is about 5 easy driving minutes from the crowds and parking problems of downtown Taupo, but the quiet and view of the lake and the peaceful surroundings make this an easy choice. The breakfasts were great, -- eggs cooked as desired, fat free bacon, fresh fruit and yogurt and excellent coffee -- combined with interesting discussions with our hosts, got us going each day. The facilities are impeccable. Comfortable bed, private patio with access to a small pool, and the ability to hang laundered clothes in the sunshine are just some of the pleasures of staying at Tauhara View. We've stayed at many hotels and B&Bs in our travels over the years, and Tauhara View and hosts Paul and Michelle are among the very best we've encountered. Rating: 10/10; Five Stars. Great Value. Wonderful Memories."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Paul and Michelle who warmly welcomed us into their home and did their utmost to ensure our stay was exactly what we we’d hoped for. They gave us great insider tips on local places to visit and when to visit them, and were flexible when we needed to rearrange our plans. The view for the house was just spectacular as was the homecooked breakfast. The Tauhara View B&B was such a pleasure to stay at, we’d recommend it to anyone!"

"Absolutely superb hosts with a beautiful, clean and quiet home to stay in. The breakfast was outstanding and we enjoyed it while looking at the expansive view over lake Taupo and the mountains in the distance. Paul and Michelle are interesting people and very well informed about how to make the most of the time that you have in Taupo. We thought we had researched the area well beforehand but gained so much more from the local knowledge that was passed on to us than we ever could from the internet or from a guide book. These people made our time in Taupo very memorable and special."
