Sitting proudly on half an acre of landscaped grounds in the quiet and desirable suburb of Matua The Cypresses is one of the neighbourhood's original homesteads. Originally built as a doctor's residence this character home has been lovingly and tastefully maintained by members of the same family, who now offer it as comfortable guest accommodation.
The guest suite has its own internal security and private entrance and comprises a double bedroom, spacious bathroom with laundry cupboard and separate living room (which can be converted to a bedroom with two single beds to accommodate family groups if required). The suite also benefits from its own private west-facing patio, where guests can soak up the last of the evening sun. Top quality cotton sheets, down duvets and black out blinds will ensure a restful sleep.
A full cooked breakfast including specialty cereals and yoghurt, local, organic fruits, toast and homemade preserves, will be served in the family dining room at a time to suit you. Continental provisions can be left in your suite if you prefer to eat in privacy. Other facilties include Freeview television, WiFi, fridge, guest table / chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, use of bicycles, and off-street parking.
The Cypresses is only 5 minutes drive to Tauranga's CBD. Mount Maunganui, with its famous beaches and walks up and around Mauao , is only another 10 minutes away. Guests can wander to Matua's harbour beaches and reserves in just 5 minutes. Hobbiton in Matamata is only a 50 minute drive away
Your hosts, Mike and Belinda, have travelled extensively (particularly to the United Kingdom and the United States visiting family) and always enjoy meeting new people. Guests are extended a warm welcome and Mike and Belinda are very happy to offer advice on local activities and forward travel.
