"We had a two night stay on our whistle stop tour of New Zealand. Kate and Brian made us extremely welcome and shared a chat and glass of wine with us each evening. The rooms and facilities were extremely comfortable and breakfast was excellent. They really did go out of their way to ensure we received the best advice to make use of our time in Rotorua. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Serendipity."

Ian Thorp, 29/05/2016

"Thank you so much for your hospitality during our visit to Rotorua. It was wonderful to refresh from our bus trip in such a beautiful home with excellent company. Thank you for sharing the Rainbow Springs Kiwi tour and taking us to the Raptor Sanctuary. Both are fond and unique memories. We had a blast on the Canopy Zipline Tour and an amazing day hiking on the Tongariro Crossing. Thanks for your advice! We can't thank you enough! All the best Satya and Ashton"

Ashton Lambeth, 24/05/2016

"Couldn't have been better. Definitely strongly recommended. Kate and Brian were exceptionally friendly and helpful, hospitality personified, full of advice on the area - which all turned out to be good advice. The house is lovely, and we really felt at home. All the photos are completely accurate, but the actual view is even better than the photo - even at night. We'd only booked for 3 nights, which isn't really enough for the Rotorua area, but we would have been happy to stay at Serendipty for longer - and again, if we coiuld face the journey from the UK! We can't say enough good things about the stay."

Philip & Luba Bell, 08/01/2015

"Serendipity has extensive views over Rotorua and the surrounding area. Brian and Kate made us very welcome and comfortable. They know a lot about the area and are very involved in the community. They gave us a lot of information about what to see & do and where to find things in the town. It was a pleasure to chat with them as we have similar interests. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. We had a very good breakfast here with a wide choice of what to eat and how it was cooked. Brian and Kate can provide a chance to offset your carbon footprint flying to New Zealand through a local charity which plants native trees in the region. A useful facility where you know where your money has gone. We were very happy staying at Serendipity Homestay and wish we had been there for longer. A good choice to stay in Rotorua if you want to keep away from the sulphurous smells closer to the centre."

Gavin & Maggie Forrest, 24/10/2011
