"Falling in with the previous reviewer: "What an absolutely outstanding accommodation!" We enjoyed our days with Erica so much - for getting to know Geoff as well we'll have to come back, what we'll very joyously do, if we ever have the chance to go back to Newzealand. We were given a feeling of being at home from the first moment. Erica cared for us in a very pleasant mixture of kindness, attentiveness and openheartedness. Within the quiet, spacious and beautiful home with a fantastic view over lake Taupo everything is arranged with loving care, there are so very many tender details. And not to forget breakfast: this is merely a dream! ... and the bed: it was the clearly most comfortable bed on our whole journey. Thank You & Thank You so very much, dear Erica, for enveloping us so nicely! We very much hope to see you again, Sabine &Hermann"
"What an absolutely outstanding property. Unfortunately we only had one night but we both agreed we would have liked to stay longer. The facilities offered to guests were excellent along with the views over the lake. Breakfast was ample and beautifully presented. Erica and Geoff were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome in there lovely home. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay here. Bob and Angela"
"We had such a lovely stay with Erica and Geoff. I wish we allocated more than 3 days in lake Taupo. The location of the house and town is ideal to explore Centre of North Island, with Ratoura, Tongariro and Waitomo Caves within 1 hour drive. Napier and Hawke’s Bay are only 2 hours away. The lake itself has many attractions to offer and deserves at least one full day if not more. Taupo town has wonderful selection of restaurants, coffee shops and bars in addition to beautiful views across the lake. BnB is located on the shore and offers amazing views. The house itself is in impeccable condition. Our gorgeous bedroom was comfortable and had everything we needed. Erica has done an amazing job decorating the house. You can really tell that owners put their heart and soul into their dwelling and desire to make guests feel at home. Erica’s breakfast spread deserves a separate note. We were well fed before starting our adventures in the morning! The hosts shared wealth of information with us about the activities we can do, the country and the culture. Erica has multiple official brochures available in the house for guests to check out. We absolutely recommend Erica & Geoff’s BnB and would love to come back one day!"
