"Superb. Iain and Jan are fabulous hosts. We felt totally relaxed during our four separate stays. Very thoughtful touches like a fridge, and use of the laundry. Our only worry is that others might get to hear of it and book it up! Chris and Diane Wilton, Hants, UK"
"Stayed with Iain & Jan for 3 nights on our arrival to North Island. Their home is clean and comfortable and we were made very welcome. Iain provided us with maps and good advice in relation to our visit to Auckland. Plenty to eat for breakfast and a good choice of fresh fruit."
"Lovely breakfasts and very comfortable. I have stayed here twice and both times were excellent. Lovely hosts, and I will stay again."
"Beautiful house, sparkling clean. Friendly host. Fabulous pillow and bed, heated towel rail, balcony from the bedroom. Delicious breakfast, great selection. Thank you."
"(NB - I have tried to click on 10 as the score, but the website is not showing all the numbers??) I booked both rooms available here for a 2 night stay with my American friend, who was visiting NZ for the first time. Iain was a very accommodating host, especially given our early starts each day. The rooms were very spacious and well furnished, with plenty of room to move around and lots of storage. Fridge and lovely selection of teas/coffees and fruit in the room. Didnt partake of the included breakfast as we headed out very early each morning but there was a lovely Thai restaurant across the road we ate at for dinner and a bus service into the city just around the corner to aid exploring of Auckland. Would thoroughly recommend this B&B as a great base during your stay in Auckland. Beats the impersonal hotel!"
"We stayed for 2 nights in March 2015 at Campbells B&B, and were very impressed. Host Iain and his wife were great hosts. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good, tea and coffee in the room, along with a mini-fridge with chilled wine glasses. Big lounge inside and nice deck outside to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of touring around. There are many restaurants about a 15 min. walk away, along with one Thai/Vietnamese restaurant across the street from B&B which was very good. Enjoyed staying here, and would highly recommend."
"What a lovely house, gracious hosts and tasty breakfast! Ideal for a day or two away."
"Staying with the Campbell's is like home from home - you'll soon feel like one of the family. More hospitable and congenial hosts you could not find! We stayed in the downstairs room which has its own bathroom and toilet. Plenty of space to move around even with your suitcase open on the floor (don't you just hate it when you stay in a room that's so small there's nowhere to leave a case open?). Breakfast is served in the dining room and we were able to relax in the lounge in the evening. St Heliers is a fabulous part of Auckland to stay in. The beach and waterfront cafes there and nearby Mission Bay, provide plenty of options for coffee and other interest before you venture further afield or head into Auckland city. The Campbells' B & B is about a 15 minute walk downhill to the beach and village (and therefore good uphill exercise on the way back!) but there are some local shops just over the road from their house too. We loved our stay with Jan & Iain and hope it's not too long till we can return."
