"We stayed from the 22nd to 27th of December. Lovely gardens, tranquil and serene setting. Beautiful views from the chalet over the lagoon. Close proximity to Matakana Village, Omaha Beach and various other attractions. We all enjoyed the pool in the beautiful and private garden setting. We were well looked after by Barbara and John, who are very friendly and accommodating. They gave us good advice about nearby places to visit. We highly recommend the chalet."

"Thank you so much John and Barbara for your wonderful hospitality. It was a piece of Heaven to just relax there in your lovely guest house. We were refreshed. One regret - it was too short a time!"

"Wonderful peaceful quiet weekend, just what we wanted. No road noise or street lights to worry. By arrangement we took our own breakfast needs. Had breakfast on the deck with nice peep of the sea. Most other meals out at handy restaurants. Ray & Lynne Brown"

"We stayed here for the 2nd time a couple of weeks ago - it is a truly beautiful piece of the world - we had my mother-in-law with and she slept on the fold out bed in the lounge and my wife and I slept in the bedroom - we had plenty of room and were able to relax as much as we wanted - Barbara and John were around enough to see them but were never in our faces - the breakfast each morning was fantastic - the perfect way to start each day - we would happily recommend this B&B to anyone - a perfect 10 rating in our books - Paul and Jud Glenny"

"Barbara and John will make you feel very welcome in their lovely one bedroom self-contained suite. Although a bit hard to find, the location is beautiful and well worth the trouble. Breakfast was great. Hope to return some day."

"We love this place and have had a return visit every winter, since moving to Auckland. It is lovely and quiet, a perfect location to the local attractions and Barbara has always been very friendly and helpful with providing a gluten free breakfast for me."

Gemma Torr, 16/01/2006

"We've stayed in some shocking places in NZ but this was the total opposite. If you've got kids, they'll love the space around the "unit". A truely wonderful, private setting, acres of grounds in a beautiful setting matching beach, bush, birdlife altogether. Every little detail to make your stay easier is there - including the milo. A very ample breakfast combined with very friendly, helpful hosts. A great find."

Colin Pannell, 19/12/2005

"A great place to stay - we're hoping to go back for our third visit. Very friendly hosts, great breakfast - catered for my gluten free dietary requirement. Quiet, clean and great location for exploring the local area! Real value for money."
