Property Description

This is a Double Room in my very large and spacious apartment. Your room has a queen size bed. There is a sliding glass door off the bedroom to a generous balcony which overlooks the swimming pool and tennis court. Your own bathroom is right next to the bedroom and has a seperate bath and shower. My very very sunny and large spacious apartment is opposite a beautiful swimming beach and 200m away from the village. The village of St Heliers offers everything you can imagine and there is really no need to leave it for anything, however, if you do like to venture further, then there is the most fantastic boardwalk all along the seafront to the city and it passes beautiful busy bays all along the way. It is a flat and scenic walk. There is a secure underground carpark available should you require it but if you do not have a car then St Heliers is on a very handy bus route. My apartment is an absolute delight to enjoy a fine wine in the front courtyard looking out to the sea whilst watching the sunset or maybe you would prefer a short stroll to the cafes and bars just 200m away.
I am very busy and often at my office which is just down the road so you will enjoy a lot of privacy although I may share an evening wine with you now and then. I assure you, you wont be disappointed with this accommodation. Full breakfast is supplied however it is self service.

"We stayed end of January 2017 for 2 nights at Helen's place and we loved it. We had spacious rooms, a balcony and were swimming in her big pool. Rooms are clean and the whole apartment is tidy and nicely furnished. We enjoyed a great delicious breakfast and Helen prepared us each morning a fruit salad. We could also use her fridge for an afternoon snack or a glass of wine.Helen's place is located very close to the ocean and restaurants and shops are just within 3-4 minutes walking distance. Helen is an excellent host and we have to point out that the stay at her house was the best among the 11 B&B accommodations we had in New Zealand. Last not least St. Heliers Waterfront is good value for money."

"Our stay at Helen's appartment was absolutely fantastic! She provided a lovely breakfast, even made us a fruit salad every day. The bedroom was spacious, clean and very quiet, and we could use her whole flat. She is a great host and we had many interesting conversations with her, thus gaining insight into many aspects of society in New Zealand. We can highly recommend her place, and we would love to go back if only it weren't so far away from us here in Norway!"

"We stayed here for two nights in March 2016. Helen was extremely welcoming and emphasised that we were free to use her kitchen and lounge at any time. The bed was most comfortable, the best on our 6 week trip to N.Z. The views of the bay are amazing and the proximity to the beach and Tamaki Drive was a real bonus. The local restaurants and cafes are excellent, we particularly enjoyed the Thai Restaurant. We plan to stay with Helen on our next trip if the room is available We would recommend this B and B to anyone."

"We had a wonderful two night stay at Helen's home. It ticked all boxes for us. The location is excellent & the view of St Heliers Beach & beyond from her home is superb. Helen is a warm & generous host who made us feel her home was ours during our stay. She provided a delicious breakfast - fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast & eggs & bacon if we wanted a cooked breakfast. It is a very short walk to the St Heliers village that has cafes, restaurants, banks, post office & supermarket. There is a good bus service to Auckland CBD via a scenic coastal road. The journey only takes about 15 minutes."

"Rating 9/10 (the rating selections on the website were not working). Helen is a wonderful hostess - thoughtful, considerate, generous and good value. The location is very handy, safe and right in the beach front. The accommodation is spacious, clean, quiet and private. I would definitely recommend this B & B we would like to stay there again sometime when we are back in Auckland."

"We stayed at Helen's for 2 nights. Helen was a very nice host. We spent a very nice time with Helen who gave us very nice information on golf courses in NZ. Her appartment was very nice and spacious wirh a separate bathroom. The appartment has a beautiful view located directly on the beach and easily accessable. I would recommend this appartment any time. Thank you to Helen.."

"We recently stayed 3 nights at this very comfortable B&B, Helen was very welcoming and we felt like we were staying with a friend. Helen's spacious apartment is located directly opposite St Heliers beach with stunning views from the lounge and deck. It is a 2 min walk to the local cafés and shops. We had a car but it is on a bus route and close to the city. The room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed. There was a separate private bathroom adjacent to the room with both bath and separate shower. Helen opens her home to her guests and you are free to use the large lounge and kitchen at any time. Helen provided good quality breakfast provisions for us to help ourselves. Internet is included. This accommodation is best suited to more mature singles and couples both local and international. We were very happy with our stay."

"We spent two great days in Auckland and visited Rangitoto which can be seen from the well appointed lounge of this BnB. To have exclusive use of this home with freedom of access made our stay very enjoyable. As a host Helen was good company and interesting to talk with. We are happy to recommend this BnB to all."

"Helen's very friendly welcome was followed by a most enjoyable 10 day stay in this lovely apartment. I was provided with a delicious breakfast each morning and the kitchen was mine to use for the rest of the day, if required. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, private and very quiet. The apartment is located just 200 meters or so from the St Heliers Bay shopping centre with its several first class restaurants and has a breathtaking view of the harbour from the lounge and its adjoining deck - a very much appreciated bonus when relaxing at the end of the day. I have no hesitation in recommending this B ed & Breakfast accommodation.."

"Helen made sure we were very comfortable and provided a lovely continental breakfast each morning including freshly made fruit salad and vegan choices as well. As a host, Helen was very welcoming to us and to our close family too. The accomodation was clean and easily accessible - we loved being able to use the pool. The beach too was at the doorstep and having so many great cafes and the beach in short walking distance was a bonus. Have already recommended to business and family friends."

Anni and Peter, Melbourne Australia, 09/02/2014

"This is the most scenic lovely home. It is close to down town but you can walk to the beach in minutes. The view of the water is spectacular from her deck and Helen makes you fel welcome and opens her whole home to you. The internet works well, the bed is very comfortable and the room private. Helen is Knowledgable about Aukland and getting around which was great for me, a canadian in a new city. If I am lucky enough to get back to Aukland I will definitley stay here. Thank you Helen for a wonderful stay."

Stella Roy, 23/12/2012

"This B& B suited the bill perfectly for us. Helen was a wonderful host who insisted we use her house like home which we did even feeling comfortable enough to have friends visit us there. The views were great, the bed really comfortable and we could stroll 2 minutes down the road to the cafes at night. We had the run of her large well equiped kitchen had we wanted to cook. Helen was warm, friendly and generous. We will definitely go back and have recommended it to others."

"Such wonderful accommodation and a lovely lovely host with the renowned kiwi attitude of "can do".. I stayed there while I was on business in Auckland for a week and as I need to go often I will be so disappointed if it is not available the next time I go. With all those amenities right on my doorstep I could work and relax all at the same time. It suited my needs perfectly and I could not have been happier so how could I not give it a "10"."
