"Wonderful stay for a few days in early Feb whilst attending mountainbike race in Hunua. Only 30 min to Hunua trails. Anyone coming to the area for cycling should look at staying here it's perfect. Accomodation clean and cosy. Hosts Lynda and Paul super friendly and make an amazing breakfast! Situated in a very quiet peaceful rural area looking out onto beautiful quiet fields. Secret waterfall just up the road. Go on a peaceful evening through the bush walk to the waterfall just wonderful. I forgot my cell charger and they sent it back to me asap thanks so much. Thanks for a great stay."

"Paul and Lynda are gracious hosts. A short drive from the airport, the farm is well situated within easy distance of all of Aucikland's best tourist attractions, including the best beaches in the world! The rooms are warm and comfortable (even in Winter) and the linen/towels top class. Paul will have a coffee waiting for you in the morning while Lynda whips up a breakfast with the lot. You'll enjoy strolling around the farm and filling your lungs with fresh country air. If you're lucky you might be invited into the lounge room for a vino upon sunset. You'll certainly receive a warm and friendly welcome at Blackwatch Homestead and the personalised service makes one wonder why anyone would bother staying in a hotel these days. I was so impressed I checked my dog in for a couple of months while she waited passage to Australia."

"Very friendly, helpful and a warm welcome to our kids. Special toys, cat and smile all the time. Room was clean and nice and the lounge was great for a coffee when the kids were sleeping. Super breakfast. Good value for money."

"Paul and Lynda are very warm and welcoming hosts. The breakfast was wonderful. The B and B is a short trip from the airport and a good starting point for a trip to New Zealand. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful. We would stay here again."

"We just wanted a weekend out of Auckland and not far to travel. The rooms were all clean and tidy, Hosts, Lynda and Paul, were just so friendly, Breakfast was just beautiful. And in the moring with the sun shining, after a sleep-in we just sat on the balcony with breakfast enjoying a beautiful rural outlook with the donkey, clydedales, the cows, the birds and the beautiful peace and quiet. Definately will be back!!!"
