Property Description

The Drury Homestead is a wonderful old colonial house, built in the 1860s and lovingly restored by your hosts Carolyn and Ron.
With 4 beautifully decorated rooms to choose from where would you like to sleep? Upstairs looking out over the creek and bush is The River Room with queen-size bed and en suite.
Dunedin has magnificent views across the countryside, a queen bed and en suite.
Cape Reinga has twin king-single beds and it's own bathroom with shower, toilet, vanity and claw-foot bath and oh what views from the bath!
Downstairs is The Lily Room, a self-contained studio with kitchen facilities , a queen size bed and en suite and own entrance and veranda. Ideal for a longer stay.
We also have a cot and pull-out beds available for children. We offer a discount for those staying 3 nights or more.

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Drury Homestead B&B. The hosts, Ron & Carolyn are warm and welcoming as they invite guests into their home! Carolyn's breakfasts are exquisitely delicious and I would consider them 5 Star! The homestead has a rustic historical charm about it but has all the modern amenities (WiFi, tea, guest refrigerator, and an electrical adapter for in your guest room). I would highly recommend the Drury Homestead B&B for your stay! Ken & Juliet, San Diego, CA. USA"

"Thank you Ron and Carolyn for a very comfortable one night stay. Your welcoming hospitality was faultless. We enjoyed your beautiful house and garden and the tranquility of the surroundings. Carolyn, your breakfast was the best ever and really set us up for a busy day as did the good night's sleep in a lovely comfy bed. We will definitely recommend you to others and look forward to staying with you again in the future."

"Carolyn & Ron are friendly, generous & hospitable. Their B&B is located in peaceful rural Drury. The rooms are beautifully, clean, decorated & furnished. I wouldn't stay anywhere else & recommend the B&B to anyone."

Verne McManus, 07/12/2012

"Carolyn and Ron are the ultimate b&b hosts offering the very best in high quality b&b accommodation. The rural location was quiet and peaceful. Their hospitality was excellent and a very good local restaurant was recommended for dinner. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were both spotless - beautifully decorated and appointed with period furniture and furnishings, as was the rest of the house. Carolyn kindly provided a tour of the homestead - what a bonus. Breakfast was delicious - continental and cooked using fresh and homemade produce. This experience represents the best value for money I've had so I highly recommend the b&b. My 10 rating is the upper end of the 10!!"

"10/10 :) We booked into The Drury Homestead B&B for the first part of our Honeymoon after our Wedding in March '11 - it was lovely and close to our venue and it honestly couldn't have been better! In fact, they catered for our whole wedding party the first night - with a breakfast to die for - every little detail homemade and delightful. My husband and I stayed on for a 2nd night and was perfect to just rest and recuperate after such a busy, stressful (all of those who have planned a Wedding will know what I'm talking about!), but beautiful time. Such a perfect start to our Honeymoon and marriage. To be able to rest and unwind in the most gorgeous peaceful setting - our hosts Ron & Carolyn are so welcoming, and take great pride in their homestead, so lovely to have a chat with and very inspirational. From our gorgeous self-contained room downstairs with the trickling of the fresh stream only metres away, to our other guests character-filled rooms, to the delightful pets and peaceful grounds – we couldn’t beat this place. If fact - we have booked in again for a weekend for our 1st Anniversary :), and I can’t wait! Thank you, Pete & Tyrena Snow"

"Welcome Greeting you on one side of the 3/4 wraparound porch...are giant palm fronds, taller than a man...while down the hill on the other side...sheep graze in a pasture...where white and purple Aga Panthus blooms color the landscape. Welcom to "The Drury Homestead"...where the grounds and Ron and Carolyn Booker's hospitality hosted their son's wedding...and our welcome to NZ. I wrote this after our 1st visit to "The Drury Homestead" in Jan '08 and can only say that since visiting again in March '10 that the best gets even better. STUNNING is all I can say! 'Can't wait to go back again!"

"A beautiful house and setting, it's hard to believe that Drury Homestead is so close to the airport and southern motorway. You certainly can't hear either of them! Carolyn & Ron are friendly hosts and breakfast was delicious. Carolyn even offered to arrange a trip for me on my return to Auckland, though I would not be staying with her. Wish I could have stayed longer, but would definitely return in the futurey"
