Located in a tranquil rural setting in the lush Waikato region of New Zealand, the beautifully renovated Foxgloves Bed and Breakfast is an escape to the country. This traditional Victorian homestead, surrounded by rolling farmlands, takes you back to a bygone era where time stands still and you wake to the sound of bird song, farm animals and the smell of a good country style breakfast. Tony, your host and co-owner of Foxgloves has a reputation and passion for cooking up a storm.

Do you fancy breakfast on the verandah with freshly squeezed orange juice? Perhaps free range eggs, local Pokeno bacon, home baked bread and a strong brew of coffee?

An easy weekend escape from Auckland for those seeking a respite of peace and tranquility or simply to nourish and replenish the soul. A hot tub and stars beyond the city lights -- perfect for a romantic getaway. With many outdoor activities available nearby, including walks, hiking, beaches, markets and cafes, Foxgloves is the perfect vacation stopover or base for a longer stay.

An old grass tennis court is home to free range chickens who provide a constant supply of fresh eggs. Friendly goats Amy and Jack are often seen meandering the back paddocks along with Lambchops and Rambo, the pet sheep.

The name "Foxgloves" is driven primarily by the owners' love of fox terriers, of which they have three - Pluto, Baxter and Rocky. For the dog lover, these chaps will quickly find their way into your heart with their cheeky antics. Cheryl keeps a close eye on visitors as many try to sneak a dog or two into their car "to go".
