Property Description

We are in the middle of nowhere and the centre of everything! Just 10 minutes from SH1 via a dramatic bluff road , you arrive at our peaceful and picturesque piece of New Zealand, which is just 2 hours from Taupo and exactly half way between Rotorua and Wellington.
We have lived here for 30 years and in that time have renovated the 1920's timber homestead to a high standard of comfort and decor. The garden and lawns are expansive, and mature trees provide a lovely framework to the property and attract native birds.
When you arrive you will be greeted by Virginia, and Jessie the Welsh corgi who is under the impression the only reason you have come is to see her!
We have 800 acres grazing breeding sheep and cattle (with some adopted wild deer!) which Neil farms on his own, with the help of his Huntaway and Border Collie dogs. If time and weather permit a farm tour by 4WD quad bike or vehicle is an option, and often gives guests the opportunity to see the dogs at work. We also have a further 150 acres near Feilding which is used as a finishing and fattening block.
The rooms each have their own access and parking. We offer free wifi. The wide deck or shaded verandah are the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of teh countryside and garden.
