We look forward to welcoming you to our Award Winning Homestay.

Enjoy tranquility and beauty when you stay in our stylish modern home, spectacularly sited on a hilltop overlooking the picturesque Waianakarua River and surrounded by 5 acres of landscaped garden. After a sumptuous farm-cooked breakfast, feed the sheep and alpacas. Then take a stroll through the neighbouring forest, our native bush complete with waterfalls and birds or beside the river. Free wireless internet available.

For a small charge, you are welcome to play a round on our picturesque, private 9 hole golf course, which was established by John's family in 1927. We can provide clubs.

Later, watch the seals and penguins on a beach nearby. Then, complete a perfect day with our gourmet 3 course dinner with fine NZ wine before snuggling down for a peaceful sleep in the fresh country air.

After a lifetime spent in farming and forestry we relish the opportunity to share our home and semi-retired lifestyle with guests. Our adult family lives overseas so we travel frequently and have a great interest in other countries and cultures. We are very keen gardeners, read widely and enjoy antiques. Anne is a floral designer and John is a tree connoisseur.

An overnight stay is not enough to do justice to this lovely area - with so much to see, why not stay awhile!

We can plan customised itineraries of the area's many attractions. Oamaru's historic architecture. Garden, heritage and fossil trails. Beaches, fishing, seals and penguins. Famous Moeraki Boulders and other interesting geological features.

Use us as a base for day visits to Oamaru, Dunedin, Waitaki Valley and Mt Cook. Christchurch International Airport - 3.5 hours.

We dont mind short notice!
