Marvel at unsurpassed views of geysers, city, lakes and beyond. Relax in all day sun, on the deck, in the conservatory or in the privacy of our garden. Indulge in comfort, home-cooked cuisine and the friendly folk who have been enjoying hosting for many years. There is so much to offer in Rotorua you could spend a life-time. But we will happily help you decide on the best of the best. We can make any reservations and if you choose to visit the non tourist spots, we know all Rotorua's hidden secrets. Over the fence are sheep and a Tree Trust with relaxing walks so close to us. The forest is a mecca for walking or biking. Maybe you just want to relax and take in the views while the geyser plays just for you. Our interests are, golf, tramping, travel, the environment, antiques and sharing our extensive local and national knowledge with you. We have lived and worked all over New Zealand, so let us advise you on the 'must see' list while in Rotorua and other highlights of our beautiful country. Welcome!

Reviews

"Serendipity has extensive views over Rotorua and the surrounding area. Brian and Kate made us very welcome and comfortable. They know a lot about the area and are very involved in the community. They gave us a lot of information about what to see & do and where to find things in the town. It was a pleasure to chat with them as we have similar interests. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. We had a very good breakfast here with a wide choice of what to eat and how it was cooked. Brian and Kate can provide a chance to offset your carbon footprint flying to New Zealand through a local charity which plants native trees in the region. A useful facility where you know where your money has gone. We were very happy staying at Serendipity Homestay and wish we had been there for longer. A good choice to stay in Rotorua if you want to keep away from the sulphurous smells closer to the centre.
