"Burn Cottage Retreat is one of those places you don't want to leave. Sadly I only stayed one night, but a very enjoyable, relaxing and quiet evening it was. Breaking a whirlwind South Island Road Trip in April with two overseas visitors, Burn Cottage was a lovely breather. I would love to have stayed a week and made use of the garden - guests can use the fresh veges, and taken advantage of the free bicycles as it's a beautiful area to explore. The cottages are cosy, well equipped with everything you need and more. Very comfy beds! Rose and Phil were fabulous hosts, with a wealth of knowledge about the area and their property and gardens are a credit to them, beautiful in April with all the colours changing. I am very much looking forward to staying at Burn Cottage Retreat again, hopefully in the not too distant future. Thanks Rose and Phil for a lovely stay and making us feel very much at home.
