Experience the Northern Southland countryside at its best. Nestled within 9 acres of mature trees, gardens and stunning views is Castle Hill Lodge. This former Angler's Lodge is now home to our cat, sheep, 4 chickens, 2 goats and 2 Kune Kune pigs all of which will love your attention.
We are centrally located for trips to Te Anau, Milford Sound, Queenstown and Gore and we also offer packages for skiing, fishing and farm tours all detailed on our website.
Our scrumptious home cooked breakfast will set you up for the day whether you decide to go and explore, fish the sparkling Upper Mataura river or just sit out on our decking and watch the world go by.
Welcome in the evening with a 2 course meal and complimentary wine (by prior arrangement) then unwind infront of an open fire.
All the rooms have complimentary tea and coffee, electric blankets and the guest lounge has free internet and WIFI access.
Whatever you decide to do, Sharon and Mark look forward to meeting you.

"we were only passing through one night but it was so beautiful we stayed for the long weekend. Goats were great too and not as ugly as we expected! Sue and Henry
