Russell, Bay of Islands

"My husband and I recently stayed at the Bellrock for a weekend get-a-way. The property is set on a hill with great views of Russell and still well within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The room was very tastefully decorated with exceptional cleanliness and every need catered for. We also had our own private balcony and the great thing is you can have your privacy and also enjoy Peter and Lorraines great hospitality. We very much enjoyed meeting them for pre-dinner drinks, nibbles and converstation in the guest lounge/dining room. We highly recommend the breakfast. It was beautifully layed out with lovely homemade jams, great choices of cereals,yoghurt, fresh fruit and juices, followed by a choice of cooked breakfast. Amazing. Great accommodation food and hospitality!!!"

"Lorraine & Peter were excellent hosts and the accommodation at Bellrock Lodge is truly first-class, spotlessly clean with all the facilities one could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble for them, once Lorraine found out I had a special dietary need, by the following morning she had a range of gluten-free products for my breakfast. Each of the 4 rooms enjoys a marvellous view over Russell, we really cannot be too complimentary about our stay Bellrock Lodge. Our one complaint?
