We have fled our largest city with Max our Hunterway cross dog to live on the shores of Houhora Harbour in the Far North of Northland, and look forward to sharing this special part of New Zealand with you. Come and enjoy remote coastal walks, shell-collecting, Cape Reinga, 90 Mile Beach and other attractions. We can arrange 4x4 trips, quad bike tours, sport or game fishing and provide relaxed and quality accommodation on your return. Home-made bread, home-grown fruit, home-pressed olive oil, vegetables and eggs. Wireless internet, fax and laundry facilities available.

"Jackie & Bruce are great hosts- I immediately felt at home on arriving. A lovely setting overlooking the harbour and a very friendly local community. The breakfasts were home made and grown and a great start to the day and Jackie's evening meal was delicious. I had a great trip visiting Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach, which had been arranged for me by Jackie & Bruce (and a big thank you to Marty too for taking me around although the other guests had cancelled!) Also a lovely insight into the life of the local community at the local fishing club dinner. Don't just get a tour bus from Bay of Islands or Kaitaia- come and experience staying in this beautiful and spiritually uplifting part of the country!!
