Our warm, modern home is situated on a hilltop a few minutes drive from central Whangarei and the Town Basin marina with it's world renowned Claphams clock museum , i-site, restaurants and lovely colonial architecture. Not to be missed!
Our accommodation area is a self contained area of our home. If you choose to stay with us , we have a policy of only one party or guest(s) per night. So you will have the whole unit to yourself.
Your private entrance leads to a queen bedroom, the with 2 large single beds plus adjacent full bathroom including walk-in tiled shower. Panoramic views of mountains, bush and farmland can be enjoyed from both rooms.
There is a kitchenette with all tableware plus a sink, microwave and bar fridge. Sky TV and free wireless internet is available. A self-service Continental breakfast is supplied. So enjoy a sleep in if you wish. No pressure to rise early here !
Spend the day exploring the beautiful Whangarei area; maybe relax with a glass of wine on the decks overlooking bush and farmland. Admire the graceful harrier hawks as they ride the air currents above you. Magic !
Take a short walk to the spectacular limestone outcrops and glow worm caves at nearby Abbey Caves Reserve. Along the road are the ancient kauri trees at AH Reed Reserve. We are also central to the magnificent beaches of the world famous Tutukaka Coast and the Poor Knight Islands, rated by Jaques Cousteau as the best sub tropical dive spot in the world. The visually stunning Whangarei Heads and Ocean Beach areas are also nearby.
