Edgewater Bed and Breakfast is a near new ground floor unit accross the road from Whangarei harbour, with stunning views of the harbour and Mt Manaia.
The unit is private and self contained with a double bed and ensuite room. The living area consists of a sleeper sofa, with microwave oven, fridge and Sky TV, plus tea and coffee making facilities. A full continental breakfast is provided within the tariff. Cooked breakfast is available on request. Off street parking and small BBQ area are also provided. The accommodation is not really suited for children.
Edgewater B&B is an ideal stopover after an overseas flight, to recharge the batteries, being only a 2 hour drive north of Auckland. Alternatively it is also a quiet relaxing location for business or leisure activities.
Right on our doorstep there is safe swimming in the Whangarei harbour and only minutes away there are lovely surf beaches within Bream Bay. Access to the sea at both the One Tree Point Jetty and the new Marsden Cove marina lead to both good fishing and diving with charters available. Also close at hand is the Waipu Golf course, the Ruakaka Horse Racing track and the Marsden Point Oil Refinery.
Several good restaurants serve the area and are well worth a visit.
There are pets on site - Buffy and Tess, who are two working dogs on holiday.
