"What a discovery! Both Hokianga area and Koutu Lodge that is. Tony & Sylvia are very helpful friendly hosts, with a wealth of knowledge and information about this stunningly beautiful part of NZ. Koutu Lodge has amazing views and rooms are clean and comfortable. Tony's breakfast frittata is a great start to the day. I would definitely come back here again."

"When I and my family were at this place on the last day of 2008, we really had a good time. Breakfast was very good, and Tony gave us all the necessary information for next touring. He is very kind."

Brian Choi, 22/01/2009

"Clean room with private deck. Tony is a helpfull host. Breakfast was huge, but I assume that's because we are not used to this quantity of food in the morning. Opononi and surroundings are very beautiful. Lots to be seen, much to do. Peter & Carina from The Netherlands"
