Q: How do I make a reservation at a B&B??

A: To make a reservation please contact the B&B host directly, via phone, fax, letter of the internet.
At the bottom of each listing you will find a "Make Enquiry" button.

Q: What currency are B&B prices?

A: Prices are listed in New Zealand dollars and include local taxes. Prices listed are subject to change, any change to listed prices is to be stated at time of booking. Some B&Bs offer a reduction for children. Unless otherwise stated this applies to age 12 and under.

Q: I own a B&B. How do I join the Bed & Breakfast Book?

A: Please read the Become a Member page and then click the Registration Form link to join The Bed & Breakfast Book. As a member of the Book you will be part of a group dedicated to achieving excellence in the B&B world.

Q: What do Continental, Full and Special Breakfast mean?

A: Continental Breakfast means a light breakfast with cereal, toast, tea, coffee and fruit juice.
Full Breakfast means a substantial cooked breakfast.
A Special Breakfast is substantial cooked breakfast with the host's special ingredients. An example might be fresh local fish caught that very morning.

Q: What do the various bathroom definitions mean?

A :A Private Bathroom is solely for your use.
An Ensuite Bathroom is solely for your use and is directly adjoining your bedroom.
Guest Share refers to a bathroom shared by different parties of guests - but not with the host family and Host Share means that you are sharing facilities with the host family.
