| Rosslyn is a large historic homestead built in the 1860's of native timbers milled on the property, set on a working dairy farm amid the rolling hills of Banks Peninsula over looking the serene Akaroa Harbour. Our family home of four generations situated within informal gardens offers the tranquillity of farm life, while our entrance is conveniently situated on the main road between Christchurch and 12km before Akaroa, allowing you to explore this intriguing volcanic peninsula with ease. While with us you will have a large ground floor bedroom, firm queen bed, ensuite bathroom, antiques, central heating and screened windows for your comfort. A spa room, pool and laundry are also available at no charge. Breakfast ranges from fresh fruit to full cooked. We take pride in offering quality home grown and prepared produce and preserves, served at the family table in the farm style kitchen. We have been privilaged to share our lifesyle with guests since 1987, in that time we have enjoyed some amazing experiences, fantastic dinner conversations and long breakfasts, we trust we can enhance your trip as well with local knowledge and a slice of a kiwi family, which includes our pets. We look forward to welcoming you with a refreshing tea, coffee or cool drink served with home baking. Directions: State Highway 75, Rosslyn Estate sign behind picket fence (left travelling to Akaroa) in Barry's Bay. The house is set 400m from the entrance. |
