With peaceful surroundings and beautiful views over Lake Rotorua "Brunswick" is 12 mins drive from Rotorua City centre and 5mins drive from Rotorua Airport. We retired from our dairy farm 10 years ago and we choose this area as it has a rural feel -and spaciousness to it.
Our guest room is large and private from our living and bedroom areas.
It has a kingsize bed- bedside reading lamps- TV and easy chairs- hot drink making facilities-refrigerator-private balcony.
The private bathroom adjoins the bedroom (it is as private as an ensuite- our guests vouch for that)and has both a bath and separate shower. Wi-Fi internet available
Breakfast is juice- cereal and fresh fruit salad plus yoghurt- a cooked course(eg bacon,eggs and tomatoes- or omelet with mushrooms- etc ) plus toast-coffee/tea. and is served in our dining room area with a beautiful view over Lake Rotorua!
Lin plays golf weekly and tends our 8,000sq.metre section which is all in lawns and garden- he has a ride-on lawn mower!
Joy is involved with a shop raising funds for Riding For Disabled -plays badminton when she has time! and tends the vege and flower gardens too.
We are a non smoking home- our family are all away from home and we have no pets.
We like to welcome guests to our home with tea/coffee and some of Joy's home baking and a chat about what to see and do in Rotorua. Welcome!!

"My son and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Brunswick. Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was traditional and filling, the setting in the valley several miles outside of Rotorua was stunning, and, perhaps most of all, the Cathcarts were extraordinarily friendly and helpful in answering our questions and assisting us in every way possible. In short, our stay at the Brunswick was ideal in all particulars, and I would very much look forward to the opportunity to return again upon a future visit to the North Island. Our stay here was certainly one of many excellent memories that we have of our recent visit to New Zealand.
