We could not have asked for a better start to our trip. Gwenda & Peter were great hosts. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast's outstanding. Devonport is a charming place to stay and only a 10 minute ferry ride from the CBD of Auckland. And Ducks Crossing was a charming B&B. Our room was so comfortable and delightfully decorated and had every amenity. Breakfast was delicious and the chat among us all was lively. Gwenda and Peter obviously love being hosts - they are so interested and interesting. We highly recommend this B&B.

Breakfast was the best we experienced in all our travelling of the North island. We were being catered for by a gourmet chef! Hospitality and local sight-seeing advice were excellent. Our accomodation was very comfortable and private. We highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates quality food and a good yarn.

I've stayed at the Ducks crossing cottage on two separate trips to New Zealand. Their hospitality is superb, and their breakfasts are the perfect start to the day. Highly Recommended.

We could not have started and ended our N.Z. vacation at a better B & B. Gwenda and Peter must be the most delightful and thoughtful hosts in N.Z. A very pleasant stay with most hospitable hosts. Superb grounds/gardens with lovely peaceful atmosphere. Gwenda and Peter went out of their way to go the extra mile and in all our years of travelling far and wide, the breakfast they served was absolutely superb!

Ducks Crossing is a wonderful place to stay. It is excellent value, and your hosts, Gwenda and Peter are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our stay has ben wonderful. Gwenda and Peter are very warm and friendly hosts. The room we stayed in was well decorated and the breakfast was excellent. If you oblige him, Peter will tell you a fish story or regale you with episodes of his exploits during his seafaring days. They are even gracious enough to let you win a game of scrabble or two.
